Re: Scholarship Opportunity
The Salem County Fair Association is making available two (2) one thousand-dollar ($1,000) scholarships for current 4-H and FFA members. Eligibility and selection details are outlined in the enclosed scholarship application.
The deadline for applications is June 17th. Completed applications should be emailed to John Richman at jrichman@growmarkfs.com.
Your help in distributing this information is greatly appreciated. If you have students who would like to complete the application electronically, it is available on the Fair Association website at www.salemcountyfair.com.

Awards
Two (2) $1,000 Scholarships
Eligibility
Planning to enroll in a two or four-year college / university, or trade school.
Participation in Salem County Fair Association activities.
Current Salem County 4-H member having completed at least three years of project work (including the senior year of high school)
Or
Current member of a Salem County FFA chapter having completed at least three years of project work (including the senior year of high school)
Submission of an application, essay, and letters of reference.
Completion of an interview with the Selection Committee. The Committee may narrow the pool of applicants prior to the interview process.
Selection Criteria
Leadership, participation, achievement, service, personal growth, and character.
Selection Committee
A group picked by the Fair Association Scholarship Committee will conduct the interviews and determine the recipients. This group may consist of 4-H leaders, FFA advisors, Salem County Fair Association members or other appropriate persons.
Deadline
Applications must be emailed to John Richman (jrichman@growmarkfs.com) by June 17th.
